The national paper packaging industry is divided into three categories: one is the Guangdong Pearl River Delta region; the second is the Yangtze River Delta region of Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu; and the third is the underdeveloped regions of the northeast, west, and Central Plains. The lesson learned from the ten years of development of China's paper packaging industry is that the proportion of blind overheating is out of balance. For these three types of regions, specific analysis should be made to guide the classification.
North-South area is uneven
Due to the regional differences in economy, culture and ideas, the unbalanced development of the paper packaging industry is determined. This is an objective law. Correctly understanding and mastering this law and making correct decisions can only make oneself invincible.
China's corrugated paperboard production began in 2003 and became the second largest country in the world, surpassing Japan and Europe. Japanese paperboard production has been declining in recent years, while Europe has stagnated and the United States is developing steadily. As a result of the tortoise and rabbit races, we have come to the front when we are behind. In a few years, China’s cardboard production may exceed that of the United States and become the world's largest country. But even if we become the world's largest country, it is only a large quantity (yield) country, not a quality country. Compared with the powerful countries of the United States, Japan, and Europe, the author believes that the gap is above 20 years. World economic experts believe that China has become the fourth largest economy in the world, surpassing Britain and France. Why is the total volume of paper packaging ranked second in the world? Because China is a manufacturing plant in the United States, Japan, and Europe, there is a large amount of cheap labor and a large market. Under the global economic integration, the Chinese market is a part of the international market regardless of whether the city or the rural area is a part of the international market. Into the Chinese market, if we do not prepare, do not understand, we will be passively challenged by new markets. For example, a large number of labor-intensive products in developed countries, imported from China, have increased foreign trade in China for more than 50% in the past decade; large numbers of foreign investors invest and set up plants in mainland China, and foreign-funded enterprises in China’s economically developed regions account for foreign trade exports. Half of the country, so the annual growth of China's carton industry in the decade of 18% -20%, more than double GDP growth, which are beyond the normal development.
The difference in the three areas in China is also very obvious. In the mid-1990s, the gap between the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta region has narrowed to about five years. In the first five years of the new century, the production of cardboard in the Yangtze River Delta region has exceeded the Pearl River Delta region according to national statistics. What causes this situation? The ten years of the Pearl River Delta have been developing steadily. The ten years of the Yangtze River Delta have been followed by a high-speed advancement. From the comparison of quality, the Pearl River Delta started early, has a good foundation, has a new concept, and has an excellent environment. It has developed steadily over the past decade. The basic work is more solid. The development has little blindness and the excess production capacity is not serious. The rapid development of the Yangtze River Delta has caused blind overheating. Disproportionate overcapacity, serious "aftereffects." Now the paper packaging industry in the Pearl River Delta region and the Yangtze River Delta region must be adjusted, but the difficulty and the degree of difficulty are very different. As for the third category and the first and second categories, I think the gap is between 15 and 20 years. The imbalance in all regions has a common problem: It is difficult to run a company, compete for production, raise the level, and seek quality. Just like climbing a mountain, it's easy to go down the mountain.
The root of blind development
When we analyze the root causes of blind development, we should not arbitrarily criticize enterprises. The history of paper packaging industry in developed countries has been more than a hundred years. China has only three or four decades. According to the author's understanding, paper packaging has entered the market economy in all countries, and there have been more or less different levels of blindness. The blindness of the development of China's paper packaging industry is rather serious. The reason is that China's market economy has a short period of practicality, explosive power, and extraordinary development. This is an objective root cause of serious blindness in the carton industry. Subjectively, we now have this generation of paper packaging manufacturing companies, which are mainly run by farmers. People call them grasshopper companies. Their strengths are hardship and courage. In the primary market economy, they are bold; but Their deficiency lies in the low culture, poor quality, mutual comparison, and short-sightedness.
